Costas Savva Elected Deputy Chairman of IFA Cyprus Branch

We are proud to announce that our Partner, Costas Savva, has been officially elected as the new Deputy Chairman of the IFA Cyprus Branch (I.F.A. Association (Cyprus) Limited).

This prestigious election highlights Costas’s deep expertise in international taxation and his ongoing commitment to advancing the fiscal and tax landscape both locally and globally. In his role as Deputy Chairman, Costas will work alongside the executive committee to support the branch’s growth, drive educational initiatives, and represent Cyprus within the broader international tax community.

What is the International Fiscal Association (IFA)?

Established in 1938 and headquartered in the Netherlands, the International Fiscal Association (IFA) is the only non-governmental and non-aligned international organization dealing with fiscal matters.

With a global network spanning more than 116 countries and comprising over 11,000 members, IFA brings together a diverse ecosystem of high-level tax professionals. Its membership includes prominent corporate tax directors, leading academics, legal and financial advisors, judiciary officials, and representatives from government tax authorities.

The Purpose of IFA and the Cyprus Branch

The core purpose of IFA is to study and advance international and comparative law regarding public finance, specifically international tax law and the financial and economic aspects of taxation.

IFA achieves this mission by:

• Fostering Neutral Dialogue: Providing a unique, non-political platform where the private and public sectors can meet as equals to debate changing tax policies and global standards.

The IFA Cyprus Branch actively replicates this mission locally. It works to ensure that the Cypriot professional services sector remains well-informed, globally competitive, and aligned with modern international tax practices.
